This wedding was a blast to be at! I traveled to my hometown Friday to prepare for the next day by stopping at some of my favorite places, which included a visit and dinner with my parents.  This whole trip brought back memories as I grew up with the bride's parents, knew their brothers and sisters - it was like old home week...lol and I got to catch up with a few of the guests at the reception that I had known growing up.  But now for the wedding! Everything ran real smooth and on time, a credit to the couple for being very organized and a salon that had everyone ready!  Casey and Brian were a pleasure to work with, not to mention an honor, as Casey is named after her late Grandfather, Governor Robert P. Casey.  I have no doubt this was the wedding of the weekend to be at, with even her uncle Senator Robert Casey in attendance.  Going around Scranton - Home of The Office, taking pictures was so much fun.  Erin Speicher and Kelly Harrington from the Scranton Cultural Center were a great team and everything was perfect for this couple - the room looked awesome due to the decorating talents of White's Country Floral. Jellyroll made the trip up the Turnpike for this one as well, and they kept this fantastic crowd on the dance floor all night long - screaming ONE MORE SONG at the End!  Relax and Enjoy - Thanks Brian and Casey, it meant a lot to us to be a part of your day!

July 2011 is shaping up to be one of the busiest months next year with my son's wedding and the wedding the week before - Jamie and Paul.  We have already forged a great relationship with this couple, since every time I turn around Jamie knows someone I know and vice versa.  Then of course the fact she's probably one of my only brides who I can sit and talk sports with and she knows A TON more than I ever will.  Jamie being Jamie Apody, the best sportscaster in the area for Action News.  And Paul is no slouch in the sports department either, having been a football player for Widener University.  As you can tell from their GTKY session pics, this couple had a ton of fun as they just did their thing, and all we had to do was focus and shoot. It’s great to have couples like them and many of my other brides were we laugh, joke and enjoy the moment so it doesn’t feel like work at all. Hope you enjoy these as much as Amy and I did.

The Heat Index was over 100 with not a cloud in the sky (sort of). The Spring Water salesmen were making a killing; while Jeni and Tim were as cool as cucumbers, just enjoying their wedding day!  What a champ Jeni was for agreeing to have her wedding in the summer (and one of the hottest days of it) so Tim wouldn't have to miss any football in the fall, now that's love!  As part of the small world department, one of the ushers revealed that I did his sister's wedding 14 years ago, and the Best Man for this wedding - well HIS Best Man is a good family friend of ours.  So the pressure was on to come up with something cool and interesting, so Jeni and Tim didn't mind prancing through a field as the sun beat down on them.  The fabulous Lake House Inn, as always is an awesome venue to work with as the staff of Jeffrey Miller Catering made sure everything was running smoothly.  Circle of Sound provided all the dance props, and excellent dance music for everyone to enjoy, as the groom's mom remarked on Facebook, her feet were paying for it the next day!  Thanks so much to this fantastic couple for having us be a part of their day.  Hope you enjoy!
BTW Jeni had the most creative and awesome place cards - she had pictures of all the guests on their respective place cards - and she did it all herself!

Up the New Jersey Turnpike we traveled for a Thursday Wedding.  This wedding was a ton of fun, with a great couple.  Aaron, one of Hoboken NJ's finest policeman, was definitely not camera shy at all and loved the photo taking session.  He is a very tall guy, and his foot prints were all over LaShonda's dress.....lol.  We had a great time with this couple and their bridal party, as you will see in the images and slide show below.  Bobby and his incredible staff at The One and Only Wesmount Country Club took care of every detail for this couple and their families - this venue is always one of my favorites to visit.  Their reception room was very well appointed and decorative with the floral creations of Atlas Floral Decorators.  It was an awesome wedding and party, as you will now see!

Well, I've been looking forward to this engagement session for quite sometime, well like maybe 10 years!  Ever since Megan started hanging out with my son and friends in High School, she always said "someday Mr. Tomko, you will do MY wedding pictures!"  So THAT day is almost here, as I photographed Megan and Kevin at The Art Museum.  We had a ball - laughing talking, joking -  so I hope everyone enjoys these!
